Many don't remember my old
fic site, the Web of Lies. It isn't archived on the wayback machine save
for the index page, which I'm thankful for. Much of the
writing posted here was from when I was a teenager, and into my early
20s, and even back in 2007 I considered a lot of it as just not good
enough to keep up here. I had planned to redo it and update it later,
but I never got around to it, mostly because I found AO3 in 2009, and
started posting my fic there instead.
As you can see, I decided that instead of just trying to make a new
design, I have just reused the old one :D Though I did redo the banner
so it looks a lot better than the old one did. I might put in a page for
the old graphics just to honour the legacy of this site and it's place
in my life.
It's taken me a while to get my head around how I wanted to structure
this, and also decide which of my non-AO3 fics I wanted to include.
I've still got a bunch of fic to go over, but I'm making progress.
I think the first post will be a page on the fics that broke
containment. All the times the people I've been writing about have found
my fic and made it everyone else's problem. Some of the early Chaser
nonsense isn't as well documented anymore, but so much happened it'll
take me a while to get all that together. I am having to trawl through
Marieke Hardy's old blog,
archived
on the wayback machine, to find everything I need from there. I
hadn't realised chasing down all the Chaser incidents would take so long
lmao. Taskmaster fandom was easy as hell compared to this. XD
Anyway. That's enough for now, I think. I wanted to get a basic page up
so I can keep working on this archive. And so I had somewhere to link my
'fics that broke containment' page lmao.
